CHART is a coalition of healthcare workers, patients, students, and community members from the south side of Chicago. The group was formed in early 2009 in response to growing concerns about the future of the University of Chicago Medical Center and the services it provides to the south side community.
CHART members include:
Southside Together Organizing for Power (STOP)
Illinois Single Payer Coalition
Students for a Democratic Society
Students Organized and United with Labor
… and members of the Teamsters 743 union.
