CHART demands that the University of Chicago Medical Center:
1) Stop the closure of the 47th St Women’s Health Center
2) Place an immediate moratorium on staff cuts, bed cuts, and clinic closures.
3) Restore and expand transport access from the community to the hospital.
4) Provide more beds and better staffing in the Emergency Room.
5) Re-open the hospital to new patients looking for a doctor, regardless of insurance status.
6) Pay a living wage and provide good benefits to all UCMC employees.
